2 States (2014)

Two States is a story about a romantic journey of a culturally opposite couple - Krish Malhotra and Ananya Swaminathan. They meet at the IIM-Ahmedabad College and during the program they fall in love. Complications arise after the program comes to an end and they decide to get married. Krish and Ananya belong to two different states of India. Krish, a North Indian Punjabi boy from Delhi, and Ananya, a Tamilian Brahmin from Chennai. They take a conscious decision; they won't get married until their parents agree. Everything goes downhill when the parents meet. There is a cultural clash and the parents oppose the wedding. To convert their love story into a love marriage, the couple faces a tough battle in front of them. For it is easy to fight and rebel, but much harder to convince. Will Krish and Ananya's love for each other sustain the battles? Will they manage to convince their parents and make it to their wedding? Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007)

Bhool Bhulaiyaa is a hauntingly comedic film! A work project brings Siddharth and his wife Avni to India. Siddharth suspecting his childhood friend of a psychological problem , contacts a Psychologist friend, Aditya (Akshay Kumar) for help.

Chennai Express (2013)

While escaping from an unwanted arranged marriage, Meena (Deepika Padukone) is helped by Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan) to board the Chennai Express. This begins an adventure with the two of them running for their lives from her father's gundas, while they slowly fall in love.

The plot of this romantic comedy is an well-worn one, and isn't particularly freshened by the chemistry of Padukone and Khan, but it's still a fun movie with a good message: "never underestimate the power of the common man". Khan and Padukone give good performances with both the humorous and serious scenes. The music is solidly fine, with one exceptionally beautiful song ("Titli"). Padukone's costumes are gorgeous throughout the film. Despite it's predictability, it's typical enjoyable Bollywood, and would make a good introduction to those not familiar with the genre.

Dangal (2016)

I Am Kalam (2010)

Two children from very different walks of life form a friendship that teaches them valuable lessons in this family-friendly drama from director Nila Madhab Panda. Kalam envies Ranvijay's wealth and privilege, while Ranvijay wishes he had Kalam's freedom. Kalam encourages Ranvijay to attend school with him, and the wealthy youngster finds he enjoys getting to know other kids his age, though keeping his new pastime a secret from his father is no small accomplishment. I Am Kalam was an official selection at the 2010 BFI London Film Festival.
